Why is skyrim so fun

Morrowind was great and one of my all time favorite games, while Oblivion was already starting to be more "consolized" and simplified but it was still enjoyable if you let it grow on you. Skyrim was always boring for me. The only playthrough I actually had fun playing was when I modded it a lot and removed all the Dragonborn and dragons stuff and added mods to allow me to have a nice house after spending a lot of money to buy the land and house and fix it up, then I also added some mods that allow me to grab many static objects from all over the world you select the object and you can make it disappear from where it is and you get it added to your inventory, after that you can use that object from your inventory and place it wherever you want so I was going into Dwemer ruins and get Dwemer objects like chairs and tables and all of that, and then place it in my house.

Basically I only had fun playing Skyrim when I removed the main thing about Skyrim and played it as a "explore linear dungeons" to get objects for my house. So I only had fun playing Skyrim when i removed most of what makes Skyrim Skyrim and played it as a big theme park to collect objects to decorate my house I think I managed to play that game for 20 or 30 hours before I got bored again. Risewild , Jul 4, Actually, I kinda enjoyed Fallout 4.

Not as much as New Vegas or classics, but it was interesting to get back out into the Wastes. But it really is not an RPG anymore. And seeing how Skyrim and Fallout 4 share many traits, I'd say they just want to make Skyrim with guns and Fallout 4 with swords just for the sake of merging the communities' fans.

Well i guess its enjoy to see the main holds and their is houses to get and stuff to buy. It also allows you do anything like mine or craft witch is pretty cool. The landscape looks great for back then not so much now. There are some okay quests too but many are very linear as pointed out. There is also many dungeon crawl and kill that dragons! So yeah can get very very boring. At least it doesn't appeal to me. I really want to like this game, but I can't seem to. Showing 1 - 15 of 45 comments.

Don't feel like investing too much time on it any further, if it's not going to change much gameplay-wise. Belanos View Profile View Posts. Not everyone is going to enjoy all the games that are available. If it's not for you, then just move on to something else. If open exploration is not for you, look to a more linear shooter. Dude, I feel the same about Dota 2. But hey ho, just find something that does it for you :. You don't enjoy game and you've still spent 40 hours in it? This game is not for you.

Forget about Skyrim. A lot of people like DOTA 2. I don't. Whether it is new storylines, maps, abilities, weapons, NPCs, textures, graphics, or enemies, Skyrim mods will provide you with pretty much everything you can ask for.

With the exception of the Nintendo Switch version, Skyrim is usually pretty cheap. Now the full price of the game would be worth it for most people, but you can get it for much cheaper if you wait for a sale. You could also check other third party sites such as Humble Bundle for some great deals on this game. If you want to be a bandit robbing houses and attacking unsuspecting citizens, go for it. You can be an ultra-strong, hammer-wielding orc and smash your way through Skyrim, or a mage who turns fallen foes into zombies.

Many people enjoy playing the same type of character every time, like an archer who sneaks around and one-shots every enemy. It is very fun experimenting with the abilities your character has and would take playing the game dozens of times to experience everything the game has to offer. Even the skill trees in this game are insane. Usually, games of this caliber will make your PC look like a slideshow, but somehow Skyrim runs really well.

Every person I know with a low spec PC owns Skyrim. Some of them are complete Skyrim fanatics one of which bought me a copy. Fortunately, Skyrim is a great game both high end and low-end gamers enjoy.

Unless you are planning on modding this game like crazy, your old gaming laptop should run this game just fine. Now you can even play it on the go with a Nintendo Switch. There is also an abundance of dungeons, all containing small twists that keep them interesting.

However, the rewards for exploring the dungeons loot, new shouts and potions always feel rewarding enough to make them enjoyable. Thus, exploration is always rewarded and players who like world building will love the breadcrumbs spread thoroughly in many dungeons, which expand on the secrets of Skyrim and Tamriel. With all lines being voice acted, it gives the world more immersion that is most important in a game where you want to feel like you are the one in control.

But what do you expect from a game that is ten years old? One of the most important additions in Skyrim was the simplification of the skill system and progression, making the series more accessible. Skills can be levelled up by using associated items. For example, smithing something to raise the smithing skill, using a one-handed sword to raise one-handedness, using certain magic types to raise skill, and so forth. This system is highly addictive and rewarding. The combat is not the main part of the game, but the variety of options to take never feel like an afterthought.

From magic, stealth, hack and slash, there are three very distinct styles to experience, not to mention the ability to use legendary skills, allowing you to combine all three. If you ask anyone about the most fun thing to do in Skyrim, throwing enemies off a cliff with unrelenting force will probably be a common answer.

As you can tell, combat is always engaging and never an afterthought. Two DLCs add completely new areas and mechanics to the base game.
